We are inviting the Dallas City Council to the Selma Dallas Event
March 7th, 2015 marks the 50th anniversary of the first legendary march across the Edmund Pettus Bridge in Selma, Alabama. This was the first of three marches for the Selma Voting Rights Movement and led to the passage of the Voting Rights Act, a landmark federal achievement of the 1960s American Civil Rights Movement.
600 marchers were attacked in this march at the Edmund Pettus Bridge after leaving Selma by state troopers and county posse.

Next Generation Action Network is honored to commemorate this legacy by hosting “Continuing the Legacy Walk; Remembering Selma” on Saturday March 7th. We will be meeting at the Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge on Singleton Boulevard and Beckley Avenue at 12:30 P.M. The march will promptly begin at 1:00 P.M.

We invite you to join us in this march as we continue the legacy by remembering Selma on this historical day.

We look forward to seeing you there!
Minister Dominique Alexander, President and Founder
